Name: Caleb Marcus Lane Age: 17 Gender: Male Type: Trainer
Appearance: Tall, athletic, and intimidating is probably the easiest way to describe Caleb. Standing at five foot eleven inches and weighing in around two hundred muscled pounds, Caleb evokes the look of a surfing type. His hair is of medium length and is a dark blond color. He tends to keep his hair shaggy for most occasions, as it's one of the easiest styles to produce. His eyes are a strong, steel blue, which almost borders on a cool gray. His skin sports a lush, olive tanned hue which is derived from the Spanish heritage of his mother’s side. And his lips are a plump, pink color that fit his angular face rather nicely.
Caleb is a very active young man, and has a body to show for it. While he lacks the bulging definition of a body builder, he is firm and toned. If one were to inspect his body, they would discover a few markings about his flesh that offer a little more insight about his personality or past. The first scar can be found on his left arm an inch or two just below the wrist. When he was younger, Caleb was burned there with a cigarette. Next, one would see a long scar on the back of his right calf, the remnants of a gash he'd received after wiping out while surfing a couple years ago. Finally, on his back, a medium sized tattoo on his back that he got for personal reasons.
As far as clothes go, Caleb is pretty much comfortable in anything. In terms of style, he's very much a jeans and shirt kind of guy. He usually wears a simple shirt with some jeans. His shirts usually are simple, cotton tees sporting a band he likes, a pair of Chuck Taylor's, and his pants are usually a little tight on him. He enjoys dressing up for certain occasions, the teenager does not intend on making a habit out of it.
Personality: Caleb is generally easy to get along with as he makes an effort to be nice to new people and socialize. Another incentive to socialize is to distract himself from the boredom of loneliness. Living in foster care for a while, he learned that friends are necessary to survive out in the world. Living in a group home for a few years has also taught Caleb independence and patience. Living with several other people, many of which he did not know, he has grown to be more tolerant of others.
While living in a group home has had it's benefits in terms of instilling within him some good traits, it has also lead him to know what people are really like. During his tenure at the home, Caleb was exposed to some less than amiable people. First and foremost, Mr. Watkins taught Caleb how seemingly nice people could be vicious and sadistic, having a scar to prove it. Furthermore, his entire operation being less than ethical also instilled in him an inherent mistrust in people. Also in the group home, Caleb witnessed how cruel groups of people could be, several of the kids ganging up on others for nothing more than sport. While Caleb makes an effort to be nice to others, he does not let his guard down easily.
While he typically trues to avoid confrontation, that is not to say that he is spineless or a push over. Granted, he may take a few insults thrown his way to avoid a fight, but if the aggressor continues to persist he will defend himself. He tries his best to do right by his parents, who raised him to be a polite man. He works hard to honor his father, works to better himself to honor his mother, and be an all around good person. While he does have his moments of weakness where he might lash out at someone while having a bad day, he usually catches himself and apologizes moments after.
Caleb would do anything to protect those he loves, bey they his Pokémon of friends. Because he has no family remaining, he can be fiercely protective of those he cares for. Furthermore, he is very loyal to those he considers to be close to him.
History: The only child born to Robert and Jacquelin Lane, Caleb and his family enjoyed a rather simple life. As a middle class family, Robert was the only one who worked while Jackie tended to their son and home. For Cal's early life, everything was perfect. His parents loved him, he had friends, and the toys he did have were awesome. Around the age of seven, Caleb would discover his love for the water on a family outing to the beach with the family pet Vaporeon. Since then, his love for water evolved into a sort of obsession with surfing.
At the of fifteen, Caleb's entire world would be turned upside down in face of tragedy. One night while out on their weekly date night, Robert and Jackie were killed in an accident involving a Team Rocket heist. When they never arrived home again, Caleb's neighbors, who had been keeping an eye on him, called the police; officer Jenny informed them of their unfortunate fate that left several others injured. With no where to turn, Caleb was placed in foster care with Vaporeon being the only remnant of his former life. While grateful to Mathias Watkins for taking him in, Caleb found it difficult to adjust to life without those that had cared for him.
While in foster care, Caleb mostly kept to himself to avoid getting in all of the politics of who was "cool" and who to be ostracized. And while he was more of a loner, he did have a few friends when he needed them. Generally, he would spend his days on the shores of the beach and in the water with Jet, his Vaporeon, while not in school; which caught the attention of Mr. Watkins. While Mr. Watkins was supposed to be the main caretaker of his facility, he was really just interested in the money that came along with harboring orphans. When they would continuously break the rules, such as Caleb did for constantly breaking curfew, he would tend to get violent. On one occasion, he grabbed Caleb's and put out a cigarette on his flesh. Because Mr. Watkins was perceived to be such a nice man, and a well connected one at that, there was little consequence for his misdeeds.
At the age of seventeen, Caleb decided that he'd had enough of this new life, so he had actively searched for ways to escape. The most promising, in the young man's eyes, was to become a trainer. Saving up enough money to leave Kanto behind, Cale traveled to the Ivy Region so that he may start anew with Jet.
Now, Cale is traveling the world, doing some soul searching to discover who he is as a person without restraints imposed on him by others. He is working to redefine himself as something other that that surfing guy who lost his everything because of team rocket.

Very well thought out. Accepted. However, if you could fix some of the spelling errors in the profile. I can tell what you're trying to say, like you put waw instead of saw. So other than those minor errors, it's accepted.
